2024 is my 10th year in Recruiting, a job I initially never thought of at University. A career, frankly have come to love. Like no other, Recruiting gives me the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, assisted them in making their career choices. I played my part in hiring candidates, who on paper don\'t match the job profile. Why? Because I saw their skill and since then have smashed their targets and moved on to bigger things (you know who you are). Throughout my career I never \'sold\' a job or company exclusively. I painted the picture of the \"why\". Why are we doing what we do and why this opportunity could be of interest to the candidate. Sometimes it matches and sometimes it didn\'t, but that is how it is supposed to be. Recruiting is not a one-way road but a mutual understanding between the recruiter and the candidate on what that road can be.
