ABOUT PATRICK REILLY
I am a Sport Management student at Brock University, where I also work with the U SPORTS Brock Badgers Men’s Soccer team. While currently in my second season as Team Manager, I help with the team’s day-to-day operations as we move through the 2025 offseason. As someone who aspires to build a career in sport management with a focus on team operations and player development, I have sought to gain as much hands-on experience as possible at the grassroots, competitive, collegiate and semi-professional levels.Outside of Brock, I coach at the Oakville Soccer Club (OSC) as the Head Coach for the U8 (2018-born) competitive program, as well as working as a coach for the U14 (2012-born) regional team. Coaching has become a big passion of mine, having taught me a lot about leadership, development, and what it means to create a positive environment for young players. I currently hold certifications that allow me to coach at multiple levels, and I am continuing to work toward higher levels as I grow in the field.During my time at Brock, I’ve represented the program at the Canadian National Sport Sales Championship, hosted by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) and Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. I’ve also been involved with open houses, student panels, and served as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Brock Sport Management Council. Before moving into sport full-time in 2024, I spent four years at Total Tech Pools in Oakville, working my way up from Retail Sales Associate to Store Manager. That same year, I returned to my home club, Oakville Soccer Club, as an Operations & Facility Assistant and began my coaching journey as a Junior Skills Development Coach. After a few months, I was promoted to Senior Skills Development Coach, and later joined the League1/Marketing team following OSC’s merger with League1 Ontario’s Oakville Blue Devils. In that role, I supported gameday operations, marketing, and events, and served as the in-stadium announcer for both men’s and women’s League1 teams. I was later asked to announce both League1 Ontario U-20 Finals, which was a really proud moment for me.Outside of work and school, I am always looking to learn, explore new coaching ideas, and find ways to grow as a leader in sport.I look forward to connecting!
