Delivering infrastructure projects necessary for DWP’s external Desktop Support contract disaggregation to enable the insourcing of service & support in January 2019.• Completed projects to support disaggregation include Key Management Service (KMS) to support the activation of c. 1,200 new Windows Server 2016 datacentre and office servers and c. Windows 10 end user devices; Windows Defender antimalware solution, integrated with SCCM; and Microsoft BitLocker Administration & Monitoring (MBAM) to centrally manage the encryption compliance and support of those end user devices; Ivanti Device Control Solution to support the management and audit capability of the use of CD/DVD and USB removable storage• Established a new BAU Digital Estates team defining the roles & responsibilities, and the terms of reference, to bring in-house a black-box service that was previously performed by the exiting desktop supplier. This brought together the end-to-end management of the implementation of digital products required to move staff from a divesting site into a receiving, and fully ‘ready for operation’ site, then decommissioning the digital products from the vacated site.• Project lead defining roles & responsibilities across the Digital PDUs and Digital Estates in preparation for the Rapid Estates Expansion Programme, creating the toolset to enable efficient and easy tracking and reporting of the multiple digital products required to make RFO the 193 new temporary jobcentres due to COVID-19• Project managed the delivery of infrastructure & desktop IT into over 105 new temporary jobcentres over 15 months offering accommodation for c.5,500 additional work-coaches as part of DWP’s response to the nation’s economic downturn due to COVID-19• Part of the DWP Technology Services Group Project Team completing the digital fitout of the new PIP Assessment Centres following the re-tendering of the contract to provide PIP Assessment Services.
