I published my first book Low Vision Support in 2016, and this June 2025 I published my fourth book “Navigating Life with Low Vision: Essential Knowledge, Tools, and Strategies for Independence”.I write to help people discover the power of technology in fostering independence. At the core of my work is the belief that unconditional love is the key to truly supporting others. It transcends limitations, embraces each person’s worth, and fosters compassion, dignity, and resilience. My latest book, Navigating Life with Low Vision: Essential Knowledge, Tools, and Strategies for Independence, is a tribute to this philosophy. It’s more than a resource—it’s a guide to empowerment, offering practical solutions and heartfelt encouragement to those living with low vision and the people who support them.My journey began in 1983 in the computer industry, working as a technician on Apple, IBM, Texas Instruments, and Compaq computers. After earning my degree from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1985, I shifted my focus in 1993 to assist individuals experiencing vision loss. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to developing personalized solutions that enhance quality of life through accessible and effective assistive technology.Decades of experience have shown me the resilience of those navigating vision loss, fueling my passion for writing and sharing knowledge. My mission is simple: to equip people with tools, strategies, and encouragement so they can live with confidence and independence. This book is an extension of that commitment. My hope is that its pages provide practical guidance while reminding every reader that thoughtful solutions, understanding, and unconditional love have the power to transform lives.
