About Patrick Hatch

Patrick is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court and the New York State Bar. While in law school, he won the award for the Best Open Memorandum in his legal writing class. At Cardozo, he served as a Student Contributor for, and was published in, the New York Real Estate Law Reporter. Prior to founding the Hatch Rockers Immigration, Patrick gained hands-on legal experience at some of the nation’s most prestigious immigration law practices. During law school, he learned immigration litigation, which included writing successful briefs for appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th, and 9th Circuits, at the Yerman Group in New York City. Upon graduation, Patrick worked as an Associate at Akst & Akst, a premier full service immigration firm in New York City. He handled all types of family-based and employment-based immigration cases, including many PERM cases. Upon moving to North Carolina, Patrick worked as the Lead Attorney at a small immigration law office, where he trained in removal defense, among other areas of immigration cases, under Board Certified Immigration Specialist Hans Christian Linnartz. When Mr. Linnartz chose to teach full-time at Duke Law School, Patrick took over Mr. Linnartz’s caseload and began Hatch Rockers Immigration in 2007. Since 2007, Patrick has dedicated his law practice exclusively to US immigration law. In doing so, he has successfully represented hundreds of foreign nationals and obtained positive immigration results. These results include grants of temporary status, permanent resident status, and US citizenship. Patrick has had the pleasure of working with community activists, business leaders, asylum seekers, temporary workers, students, artists, construction workers, teachers, professors, poets, athletes, doctors, and scientists. Patrick was drawn to immigration law because of his passion to work with real people. This is exemplified by his many hours of pro bono work each year. The New York State Bar Association recently awarded Patrick a certificate as Empire State Counsel, for his many hours of pro bono work. Patrick Hatch is recognized as an expert in Immigration Law by Family Court in North Carolina
