Develop and execute corporate and site-specific health and safety programs in the workplace for an ENR top 400 Contractor that operates within multi-jurisdictional agencies (WA State, OSHA, MSHA, USACE, NAVFAC, BOR, DOT, and DOE) across nine states. Prepare, review, and implement policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Program manager (18 programs) and primary instructor for construction-based health and safety training and accident prevention in both field and classroom environments. Monitors and enforces safety compliance through policies, standards, and regulations by training, inspecting, and managing equipment, employees, and operations in nine states. Directly supervise eight safety professionals, one risk manager, and three joint venture safety professionals with projects ranging in value from $3 Million to $168 Million. As the corporate risk manager, I investigate to discover root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned to develop and deliver reports on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics for all accidents or incidents. Also oversees all aspects of worker’s compensation claims at a corporate level and liaisons with State and AGC OF Washington Retro Program Managers, resulting in the reduction of the EMR from 1.00 (due to returning to state program) to.58 in two years after the mandatory rate freeze.
