ABOUT PATRICK STAUBACH
The Chair of Geotechnics at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar advances numerical and experimental geotechnics with a focus on offshore foundation systems, contact mechanics, coupled FE formulations, and high-cycle accumulation. Our group develops and applies the finite-element framework numgeo for hydro-mechanically coupled problems and installation processes. We also run physical tests -shaking-table experiments and cyclic triaxial testing-to validate models and study soil–structure interaction under seismic and operational loading.
