About Patrick Roth
I am a board-certified neurosurgeon and founding member of the large neurosurgical group, New Jersey Brain and Spine. We are a sub-specialized group of surgeons, neurologists, and physiatrists who are dedicated to patient-centric care and the use of technology to improve the lives of our patients. I am the author of \"The Me in Medicine: Reviving the Lost Art of Healing\" and \"The End of Back Pain,\" I have served as the chairman of neurosurgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, and the director of neurosurgery residency training program for the past decade. I am also chair of neurosurgery at the recently founded Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Most recently, I completed an MHA at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. My current interest is in healthcare design. I view value-based care as a potential means to align providers and patients and emphasize the pursuit of patient health rather than, the often self-serving, pursuit of healthcare.
