I have worked on various projects in an agile manner, the main projects being the deployment of an IAAS based platform/application called Fenergo (a digital client lifecycle management system) within Microsoft Azure and the other projects being the development and deployment of an Intelligent Conversation Analytics and Document processing CAAS based platforms in GCP- Provisioning + configuring infrastructure via Microsoft Azure & GCP portals - Deploying applications to cloud technologies - Setting up self hosted Azure DevOps build agents for pipelines - Training and being a mentor for other members of the team - Automation solutions such as Terraform to provision infrastructure and Ansible to configure pre-reqs as well as Helm to deploy packages to Kubernetes along with setting up Checkov and Tfsec in the CI/CD process as part of shift left for IAC security scanning - Assisting with the solution architecture of platforms from a cloud/infrastructure point of view - Packer to create golden images - Deployment and use of Velero to backup Kubernetes resources (including persistent volumes) through snapshots including the setup of scheduled backups - Kubernetes cluster optimisation to ensure the best performance whilst being cost efficient through the use of auto-scaling and using the most appropriate node specs - Ensuring the setup of cloud based platforms meets security compliance i.e. ISO, SOC compliant - Setup of GCP audit and cloud logging including automated alerting + monitoring via chatops - Creation and use of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Terraform & Packer - Experience configuring & troubleshooting Tomcat, ActiveMQ, Elasticsearch and IIS services - Working internally and with vendors to troubleshoot application and environment issues on both Unix/Linux and Windows - Proficient in the use of SQL along with exposure to other languages (Java, JSON, XML)- Creating and maintaining documentation of detailed technical operations and procedures
