ABOUT PATRICK PHILPOT

I’m currently a Trainee IFA at Fairstone Wealth Management Group, progressing through the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the long-term ambition of achieving Chartered status.I have a strong intellectual interest in investment strategy, financial markets, taxation, and pensions, and I am particularly motivated by the intersection of applying technical knowledge and client outcomes. My experience spans multiple areas of financial services; including tax, accounting, asset management, trading, and wealth management. Through which I have developed a robust analytical framework and the ability to approach complex problems with clarity and precision.I graduated from Newcastle University with First-Class Honours in Accounting and Finance, where I cultivated strengths in critical financial and investment analysis, strategy, and taxation. My dissertation examined the financial viability of the UK pub sector during periods of structural change, with a focus on legislative impact and evolving competitive dynamics.Outside of my professional work, I maintain a broad range of interests. I am actively engaged in sport, both playing and following rugby, cricket, basketball, and horse racing. I also have a strong passion for music, playing multiple instruments including double bass, piano, guitar, and bass guitar.I am always keen to connect with like minded professionals to exchange ideas, develop perspectives, and build meaningful relationships within the industry.
