ABOUT PATRICK OSBORNE

A Senior Associate Consultant at PwC within the Deals - Capital Project Services practice, an Industry Associate at University College London (UCL)- Centre for Blockchain Technologies (CBT), and a Master of Research (MRes.) alumni in Energy Demand Studies at UCL. Patrick has previously earned a BA degree in Russian History and Slavic Languages & Literatures from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has completed four other Master’s programs: Russian and Eurasian Studies (IMARES, 2008), Energy Politics in Eurasia (ENERPO, 2016), and Russian Cultural History and the Arts with distinction (MARCA, 2018) at the European University at Saint Petersburg (EUSP) in Russia as well as a Master of International Studies (MIS) in international economics affairs at The George Washington University. Between those programs, he has studied Ukrainian Studies at Harvard University and worked as a banker in wealth management for AXA and HSBC. Patrick is interested in the new economy of Blockchain technology and distributed ledgers as it relates to energy demand while looking at this economic sector using the theory of New Institutional Economics (NIE) and Game Theory. He just completed his MRes dissertation on Peer-2-Peer (P2P) Energy Trading using Blockchain. His hobbies include traveling, backpacking, and searching YouTube endlessly on issues related to economic history and the history of institutions and organizations.
