ABOUT PATRICK NAMI

I am an experienced Chief Reservoir Engineer, possessing a deep understanding of subsurface dynamics, including fluid flow, geomechanics, and reservoir characterization to assess the viability of transitioning from traditional fossil fuel assets to low carbon assets. I am highly experienced at implementing innovative technologies such as carbon capture storage (CCS), carbon management, power to gas and hydrogen production / transport. I am confident participating and facilitating technical conferences, exhibitions, and panel discussions, and evaluating risks related to transitioning to low carbon energy, such as geological uncertainties, regulatory hurdles, and financial implications. Furthermore I engage with government agencies, regulators and reservoir engineering teams to solve complex problems and optimise low carbon energy projects, enhancing energy storage capabilities, or repurposing existing infrastructure. I also lead both operated and non-operated assets, providing a comprehensive view of the industry. During my career I have worked for many top-tier organisations, including Wintershall Dea and Leibniz Institute for Applied Geosciences. My achievements include: • Wintershall set ambitious climate targets to be net zero across its upstream activities by 2030. As Senior Energy Transition Manager, led feasibility study for a methanation pilot plant in Algeria and gained buy in from Groupement Reggane Nord (Sonatrach, Repsol & Wintershall) to build plant with a GHG emission reduction >60%. • Wintershall needed to update functional requirement documents for the Business Management System. As Coordinator wrote well testing directive, including environmental and sustainability aspects, and evaluation of GHG emissions, which defined planning requirements and aims to reduce carbon footprint during well testing operations. My Skills: Energy Transition Management | Carbon Capture Storage (CCS)| Power to X Technology | Joint Venture Influencing | Geothermal Engineering | CO2 & Water Injection Systems | Hydrogen Projects | Engineering Management | GHG Emission Evaluation & Reporting | Integrated Reservoir Modelling | Project Management | Wellsite Operations | Safety Leadership | Performance Analysis | Well Testing Analysis | Reservoir Simulation | Business Plan Preparation | Public Speaking & Conferences | Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)| Technical Forecasting of Assets | Risk Management | Estimating Field Reserves | Drilling & Completions | Enhanced Oil Recovery | Field Development Plans | Economic Evaluations
