SilverStay is supporting health systems in opening up hospital beds by leveraging our network of 2,500+ assisted living operators. Assisted living operators are open for business. We have the network, data, and process to rapidly transition medically stable, non-COVID-19 patients out of the hospital to open assisted living beds. There are open assisted living beds in Maryland alone than can be used to open nearly hospital beds. A drive to reduce hospital utilization combined with overbuilding in senior housing has created a significant opportunity for innovation in today\'s senior living market. This $140B industry is growing at 7% annually but operates with antiquated technology and is disconnected from healthcare systems, forcing hospitals and patients to work with time-consuming and opaque services. SilverStay fills this growing chasm with a low-friction platform that fills open assisted living beds while reducing hospital length of stay and hospitalizations from assisted living. In doing so, SilverStay compresses discharge times from days to hours and dramatically reduces assisted living vacancy rates.
