ABOUT PATRICK MERCIER

Patrick Mercier is a career-oriented individual who has advanced from the junior ranks of server administration through to leadership roles and into management of an operations delivery team. With a focus on efficiencies and results, he is a driven IT professional with extensive experience leading IT operations teams and providing administration and support of information systems and networks. From small business to large enterprise, he has participated in hands-on technical support through to policy creation and decision making. Now working within the Canadian Cyber Security team at Microsoft, Patrick is assisting large organizations with their implementations of Microsoft Defender for Identity and with security reviews of Azure workloads. while still maintaining his passion for Active Directory Certificate Services (PKI). Automation is one of Patrick\'s primary passions and PowerShell is the method by which he is able to implement solutions that meet customer needs. As a manager and team lead, he has successfully built highly-dedicated teams that work closely together to exceed client expectations. He has maintained a positive relationship built on trust and commitment with both the individuals that report to him and the clients they serve. As an IT generalist, Patrick has touched most aspects of computer networks and has an understanding of the different requirements of businesses and organizations. This breadth of knowledge permits him to troubleshoot, address and resolve issues with speed and confidence, making him a valuable team member and leader when clear communication, team cohesion and a focus on customer service is paramount.
