ABOUT PATRICK MCLAUGHLIN

I have always believed that the most important thing in an increasingly complex world is trust. Trust is the basis of our relationships, our institutions and our economy. Trust is what makes people willing to get married and start a family. It allows people to put their hard-earned money in a bank. It’s the foundation of the economy. And in a world where technological change is disrupting institutions, relationships and old economic models, trust is more important than ever — and people who can build trust can create economic value. One way to build trust is through blockchain. The great advantage of blockchain technology — and why it is so well adapted to a world where disruption is the order of the day — is that it is flat, more democratic and allows people to have greater control over their own data. But, for all those advantages to be fully realized, blockchain has to be considered trustworthy. I want to help people and businesses understand the risks and benefits presented by blockchain, grow their business and to lead the way in a new economy where disruption is everywhere — and trust is more and more valuable.
