ABOUT PATRICK MARTIN

A Logistics Manager with a track record of helping to deliver £multi-million construction projects ahead of time & under budget. Employed as Logistics Manager I’m responsible for the on-site delivery of major construction projects including new builds, refurbishments, reconfigurations and high end office fit-outs. Key deliverables include: Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements. Key areas of expertise include: Logistics; Working in live buildings (occupied space and multi tenant buildings); Managing large teams; extensive knowledge of H&S requirements; liaising with clients, tennants, structural engineers & M&E consultants; responsible for managing logistics, including welfare, labour requirements, hoist drivers, forklift drivers and Banksman, duties also include managing all waste segregation and removal from site and ensuring contractors are mindful of the need to separate waste properly and safely. I also manage all contractors storage areas to ensure safe and tidy areas are available for materials. In my current position I am also responsible for carrying out site managers daily checks on my assigned areas. I also chair daily logistics co-ordination meetings to ensure all contractors are aware of changes on site that could affect them.Working on a regeneration project has given me greater insight into new build construction and being part of the Berkeley team is teaching me more about construction management.Site manager Brookfield MultiplexAssisting the site team to help finish marketing suite at The Ram Quarter Wandsworth Town.Once hand over is complete on the marketing suite I will be resuming my duties as site logistics manager for Munnelly\'s on the Wates site in Commercial road which is a 18 floor student accommodation build.
