ABOUT PATRICK MAKIN

I am a professional writer, script editor and story consultant, writing for film and TV. In TV, I tend to specialise in wildlife and kid\'s, but have written across numerous genres. In wildlife TV, my credits include the entire 4th series of Savage Kingdom for Nat Geo, The Wild Andes for Smithsonian, and Snow Babies for the BBC. In kid\'s TV, writing credits include all of Sam & Mark\'s Guide to Dodging Disaster, most of Andy\'s Wild/Dinosaur/Prehistoric/Safari Adventures, as well as Shaun the Sheep, Morph, and much more. I have also script-edited on more than 50 hours of wildlife TV for the BBC. In 2017, I wrote, produced and directed my first feature film - Happy Birthday, Toby Simpson - which won the award for Best Film at the British Independent Film Festival (BIFF) and has been shown on SKY and HBO.
