About Patrick Kothe
I have two professional missions:1. Develop medical devices that help clinicians provide better patient outcomes2. Help people in our industry become more effective and prepare for advancementI\'ve had the pleasure of leading or being part of teams that have launched over 50 medical devices and have experienced successful and unsuccessful launches. I\'ve contributed in large, multinational companies, and startups. However, experience alone does not lead to insights. Reflection on why things went right or wrong and incorporating that learning into your future actions is the only way to continue to improve. Helping to define customer needs and develop products that help clinicians better serve their patients has been, and continues to be, rewarding for me. Although the market has changed significantly over the years, it has always been about delivering better outcomes, cost efficiently. It is also about building teams and companies that are competitive, yet fun to be in, while providing great financial opportunities for employees and shareholders. One thing I\'ve noticed about successful people is that being a lifelong learner is crucial. I\'m helping others expand their thinking by providing content through the Mastering Medical Device Podcast. Our industry is special, and developing the next generation of leaders will help assure it stays so.
