With over a decade of experience in the public safety sector, as the Assistant Director of Safety and Emergency Management, I am dedicated to ensuring a safe, prepared, and resilient campus environment. I oversee fire safety, environmental health and safety, emergency management, and compliance to uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory adherence.I specialize in safety planning, conducting high-level investigations, including L&I cases and assisting with Title IX investigations. My role also involves supervising personnel, managing emergency preparedness programs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. I work closely with local law enforcement, first responders, and emergency agencies to strengthen crisis response, enhance campus security, and support the university’s Emergency Crisis and Management Plan.Beyond compliance and crisis management, I lead efforts in business continuity planning, risk assessment, and safety training. I also develop and track budgets for critical emergency management equipment such as AEDs, first aid kits, Narcan, and fire extinguishers. During critical incidents, I act as a backup to the Director of Safety & Security on the university’s executive leadership team.My expertise lies in strategic crisis response, high-level investigations, risk management, and cross-agency collaboration.
