   Patrick Guise is a principal and the Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) of McCormick Taylor and has spent the whole of his career, the last 25 years at the company. It’s quite fitting he is the CVO, a position that requires that he manifest his goals for the future into reality because despite his humble beginnings as an errand runner in 1989, he always envisioned that he would one day own the company. Through his years of hard work, unfailing dedication, forward thinking, and never accepting the words “No” or “Can’t” when obstacles presented themselves, he now leads the company with unbridled ambition for the future. Since taking co-ownership in 2011, he considers it his mission to lead a paradigm shift in the way employees work with each other, clients, and their supervisors. Seeking to reshape the internal dynamics and abandoning the long standing hierarchies that he believes hinder collaboration and participation, he is breaking down barriers to rebuild a framework that emphasizes a corporate culture that fosters innovation and communication amongst all levels and skillsets within the organization. In essence, Patrick and his partner are at the forefront of teaching emotional intelligence amongst their employees and reinventing the way McCormick Taylor does business. Further, Patrick is responsible for the redevelopment of the company’s strategic direction. McCormick Taylor founded in 1946 has survived the ebs and flows of the economy, but under Patrick’s leadership the company has flourished and achieved the highest revenues in the company’s history. Patrick’s strategy has included broadening the firm’s geographical footprint, pursuing new clients and penetrating new industries, expanding core competencies, and creating ways to work more efficiently.
