About Patrick Held

Committed to developing and sustaining positive relationships between students, teachers, and their communities I am currently at Chesterfield County Public Schools, Department of Communications and Community Engagement, Office of Family and Community Engagement; and adjunct instructor at Averett University and Virginia Commonwealth University. I have previously served the CCPS school district as a middle school principal for four years, high school assistant principal for five years, a secondary school dean of students for two years, and taught theatre arts and communications for eight years. My \"pre-school\" work experience is in administrative positions in varying settings, including the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation and The Richmond Theatre Company for Children. My resume highlights multiple opportunities for fostering community partnerships, funding requests and grant development, and volunteer coordination. I also have experience creating professional development experiences in K-12 and post-secondary education settings focusing on communication, public speaking, authentic leadership, and several other essential “soft skills” for educators and leaders.
