With 22 years of CFO experience, I currently provide interim and contract CFO services to private-equity or family office-backed restaurant and hospitality companies. These services include advisory, capital raise and restructuring consulting, as well as supporting clients through Quality of Earnings, capital structure design, financial review, and due diligence support.I am currently CFO for Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, which is owned by Alvarez & Marsal Capital (“AMC”), a multi-strategy private equity investment firm with over $5.9 billion in assets under management. Previously, I served as Chief Financial & Restructuring Officer for Wild Wing Cafe and Back Yard Burgers, both restaurant brands owned by Axum Capital Partners. I was responsible for leading and managing all financial aspects of the filing and restructuring of both companies as they entered and emerged from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.From January 2021 to October 2023, I was President of Financial Consulting for TRIS, LLC (fka The INVGR Group), a private-equity backed financial services firm that provides accounting, finance, and operations consulting to restaurant and hospitality businesses. In January 2019, I was CFO of Amergent Hospitality Group, Inc. I was brought into the predecessor organization, Chanticleer Holdings, Inc.(NASDAQ:BURG) to lead the transformation of the accounting and financial platform. I joined Chanticleer Holdings from Sherpa, LLC, an accounting and finance recruiting firm, where I managed the Financial Consulting Division. Previously, I served as the Chief Financial Officer for one of Carolina Financial Group’s portfolio companies, Trinity Frozen Foods, LLC.Prior to my CFO role at Trinity, I served as Chief Financial Officer of Landmark Leisure Group (LLG) in Charlotte, NC, a development company with a national footprint that created, owned, and operated original restaurant and pub concepts. LLG also partnered with real estate developers to create dining and entertainment destinations in the pub, restaurant and entertainment industries. Additionally, I spent eight years in investment banking at Wachovia Securities, where he was primarily engaged in corporate finance and M&A advisory transactions focused on the Financial Institution & Specialty Finance sector, and at Harris Williams & Co, an investment bank focused on middle market M&A advisory services. I received my B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management.
