    Serving in a newly created role at a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and maintenance of the City of Chicago’s historic buildings and cultural spaces. Primary duties include- Prepare and oversee ongoing grant applications and associated budgets, associated interim and annual reporting, and liaise with primary program officers- Manage office-wide efforts to bolster corporate, foundational, and individual giving, with special emphasis on regional foundations and unrestricted general operating support- Administer gifts and donations and distribute acknowledgements- Recently recommended and implemented a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, a first for the organization- Develop a policy platform for the City of Chicago that supports and encourages equitable preservation outcomes- Foster relationships with local preservation partners toward shared policy goals- Manage seasonal interns and consultants and oversee development of final deliverables- Advise and assist standard advocacy operations as needed, i.e. representation at community meetings and affinity events; qualitative research and copywriting; testimony at City of Chicago public meetings, in particular, the Commission on Chicago Landmarks, Chicago Plan Commission, Community Development Commission, Committee on Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards, and standing meetings of Chicago City Council.
