ABOUT PATRICK FRANSEN

I am a mechanical engineer in the Oil & Gas industry. My project experience lies in the midstream sector, serving as the lead mechanical engineer on a variety of projects including natural gas compressor stations, gathering facilities, tank batteries, and meter stations. I also have experience in the post-engineering phase — overseeing the fabrication of pressure vessels, skid packages and interconnect piping, and providing field support during project construction. In addition to my experience as a mechanical engineer, I have also recently begun serving as the project engineer on projects.I have a technical understanding of ASME code requirements and 49 CFR Part 192. Additionally, I am well versed in Microsoft Excel and skilled in other software, such as Bluebeam Revu and Navisworks Simulate. Outside of work, I am also studying for the FE exam to obtain my EIT certification, and plan to take the PE exam afterward to become a licensed Professional Engineer.With my strong work ethic and attention to detail, I produce high-quality results while performing effectively under pressure. With every assigned task, I aim to grow in my role — challenging myself to push the boundaries of what is possible and to provide innovative solutions to the task at hand. In May 2023, I graduated from North Central College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to my coursework, I was also a member of the North Central College Men’s Lacrosse Team, where I competed at the NCAA Division level.
