About Patrick Fagan

I’m a CPA with a background bridging finance and accounting, strengthened through my experience thus far, but built on a master’s and bachelor’s in accountancy and finance, respectively, from Wake Forest University.I started my career at Deloitte in Audit & Assurance, working primarily with technology, media, and communications clients while also gaining exposure to clients in the financial services practice. The fundamentals of audit quality, client service, and project management were cemented through navigating performing audits over clients in dynamic, high-growth industries. Most recently, I worked within Capital One’s internal audit group focused on Model, Data, and Credit Risk & Analysis, deepening my experience in risk assessment, controls testing, and data-driven analysis.Blending the two, my foundation in public accounting and my experience in internal audit, has afforded me a well-rounded perspective that challenges how I approach risk, controls, and financial reporting, and positions me to add value in my current role as a Senior Audit Associate with Grant Thornton LLP.
