Cranes and Lifting appliances stand as critical structures in the marine and offshore energy industry. Bureau Veritas goal is to deliver high-quality certification services to its clients, crane designers and crane manufacturers. Integrated to Design assessment- Hull department, my activities are- Assess Marine lifting appliances structural design against BUREAU VERITAS (BV) rules or other recognized standards- Provide technical assistance on lifting appliances already operating onboard ships / offshore units- Conduct Structural Calculation of lifting appliances structure to be performed with in-house or external technical software- Operational technical support to BV network worldwide (design, surveys, installation onboard, tests)- Functional technical support to BV offices worldwide (e.g. training, qualification, technical consistency, supervision)-Contribution to BV Rules & Tools development.
