ABOUT PATRICK DECOSTRE
I was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer of Boralex Inc. in December 2020, after acting as Vice President & Chief Operating Officer beginning in March 2019 (in Montreal) and spending 18 years developing the company in Europe.When I joined Boralex in 2001, I was the company first employee in Europe. By overseeing development and operations, and building a great team, I have largely contributed to what the company has become: the largest independent player in the wind sector in France since 2014.Before joining Boralex, I held various positions within the EDF group (Électricité de France), successively as a dispatcher on the electricity transmission system, as management controller and then as industrial project manager. Between 1997 and I was part of the EDF electricity sales team on the England & Wales Electricity Pool, playing with pool prices, contract for differences, ancillary services and transmission agreements.I hold an engineering degree in physics from the École Polytechnique (Brussels) and a diploma in specialized studies in management from the École de commerce de Solvay (Brussels).
