My responsibilities at the Arizona Republic include producing content for daily and long form photo assignments as well as video shorts and longer documentary style videography. Visual story-telling is my passion.Videography Accomplishments:• Produced and edited over 416 video stories, resulting in increased subscriber engagement across all social media platforms.• Collaborated with a cross-functional team to cover major breaking news events including the 2020 presidential election, and major sporting events including MLB, NHL and NBA games and the 2023 Super Bowl.• Received recognition from industry peers for exceptional visual storytelling by being named the Arizona Press Association Photographer of the year in 2021.• Received one regional Emmy in 2020 and two Regional Emmys in 2022 for a video series titled “Beyond the Gridiron, where I followed an Arizona high school football team through the ups and downs of their season.Photography Accomplishments:• Captured and curated a portfolio of images that were featured on the front pages of the USA Today, Arizona Republic and other GANNETT publications, helping to elevate the newspapers’ visual storytelling and maintain its reputation for impactful photojournalism.• Successfully adapted to various shooting environments, from fast-paced news events to intimate portraits, consistently delivering high-quality images on tight deadlines.• Collaborated closely with writers and editors to ensure visual elements aligned with the narrative of each story, resulting in a more cohesive and immersive reader experience.• Managed a comprehensive photo library, implementing a tagging and organization system that efficiently supported the newsroom\'s archival needs.• Won the Nick Oza Memorial Photojournalist of the year award in 2021.
