About Patrick Ahern

After graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Finance and Real Estate, I founded and operated a successful real estate brokerage. After 1 year was recruited by one of the region’s premier commercial brokerages, where I negotiated and drafted more than 320 agreements over the course of 11 years, with a sales volume of over $65 million. Utilizing my skills as a journeyman carpenter, and as a real estate professional, I developed several buildings, two of which I still own and manage. This experience allows me to offer useful information about building design, construction materials and techniques; as well as valuable guidance about the complexities of successfully managing investment properties.My next step was to pursue an MBA from University of Redlands and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, where I graduated with honors with an emphasis in Human Behavior and Psychology. As a community leader, I have enjoyed serving on the board for a number of organizations, including current board member of the La Jolla Community Planning Organization, past President of the La Jolla Parks and Beaches, and formerly with the La Jolla Town Council, Gaslamp Quarter Association, Better Business Bureau, Windansea Surf Club, Mayor’s Task Force on the Homeless, and more.Raised in La Jolla, as well as working and living Downtown, I was recruited to join Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices where I use my combined knowledge and skills to assist clients to meet their broad range of real estate needs.
