ABOUT PATRICIA C. PADILLA ALMEIDA
My professional career has been developed in real estate architecture and social habitat management. Directing my professional development between two opposite sectors has allowed me to understand design based on the physical, emotional, and social needs of the inhabitant.I have worked in the design of single-family homes, as well as residential, recreational, commercial, and educational buildings, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and safety. On the other hand, together with the most vulnerable communities and international NGOs, we have developed affordable housing projects, public spaces, and training programs for community leaders using handcrafted materials and traditional construction techniques.Having gained experience in both fields has given me the opportunity to find a base point of spatial conception based on the user as the center of the design. From my perspective, it is essential that spaces become memories and the perfect atmosphere for their future uses allowing the development of their inhabitants.
