ABOUT PATRICIA ESZTER MARGIT

I work at the intersection of human rights, language access, management, and creative expression—bringing over a decade of experience across nonprofit leadership, immigration and legal advocacy, professional interpreting, and the arts. Nonprofit Executive & Human Rights Advocate For more than 15 years, I’ve led and supported mission-driven organizations that promote safety, dignity, and equity—especially for women, minorities, and survivors of violence. I’ve built programs, secured funding, and advised initiatives including the Hungarian National Committee for UN Women, Romemu, Jewish National Fund, and Art Kibbutz. Immigration & Legal Support Professional As an advocate, I’ve worked within both the U.S. and Hungarian immigration systems—supporting asylum seekers, domestic violence survivors, victims of crime, and marginalized groups including LGBTQ and Roma communities. I’m experienced in asylum application preparation, USCIS processes, and navigating state court and immigration court systems. Certified Interpreter & Cross-Cultural Communicator I’ve provided high-stakes Hungarian-English interpretation for over a decade, working with individuals, law firms, companies, and partnering with agencies including the Consulate of Hungary, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. State Department, FEMA, USCIS, FBI, NYPD, and international police forces. My focus: ensuring equitable access and accuracy in legal, medical, and government settings. Writer, Editor & Arts Administrator With 15+ years in literary and nonfiction writing, editing, and cultural programming, I bring a storyteller’s lens to advocacy, identity-exploration, and community-building. As an arts administrator of Art Kibbutz, one of the largest artist residency programs in the US my work has been awarded by New York City\'s Department of Cultural Affairs. I’m passionate about justice, voice, and bridging worlds—whether through law, language, or art.
