ABOUT PATRICIA WHELAN

I graduated from law school in 2023 with experience in government, trusts and estates, business law, and the judiciary. Before attending law school, I worked as an administrator for two law firms and then decided to pursue my own Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School to work with clients and make a difference. I am now a licensed attorney practicing in New York, specializing in trusts and estates and assisting individuals and their loved ones in planning for the future as an Associate Attorney at Pierro, Connor & Strauss. Previously, I served as a Law Clerk at the same firm and completed internships at the Third Judicial District, Federal Public Defender’s Office, and ABA Section of State & Local Government Law. During my time at Albany Law, I was actively involved in a variety of organizations, including the Albany Law Review, Student Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Elder & Disability Law Pro Bono Society, Golf Club, and Business Law Society. I also served as the Editor in Chief of the Center for Judicial Process, a research-focused organization dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the judiciary. Additionally, I’ve achieved recognition for my participation in several Moot Court Competitions, excelling in Client Counseling, Negotiations, and Appellate Advocacy. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis and golf, and I prioritize spending quality time with my loved ones. I\'m also passionate about community involvement and am always seeking new opportunities to contribute positively to my legal and local community.
