About Patricia Victor

I am an experienced working professional with a bachelor\'s degree in psychology from the University of Miami and a master\'s degree in accounting from Florida State University. I currently work as a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Technical Accounting & Reporting group within the Accounting, Controls, and Reporting Advisory practice. I previously worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant, where I was highly involved in the accounting standard-setting process. I also have passed all four sections of the Uniform CPA Exam and am awaiting licensure in Massachusetts. My previous work experience is vast - after graduating from college, I worked in the front office for two hotels in Central Florida and in numerous high-capacity roles across the Walt Disney World property. During my time in hospitality, I gained experience as a trainer and a department leader. At Florida State, I served as the President of Beta Alpha Psi and also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Outside of being able to write and think critically about accounting, my technical skills include proficiency in multiple applications of Microsoft Office and experience working with numerous data analytics software, including IDEA, Tableau, PowerBI, and Alteryx. I am extremely passionate about learning and expanding my skill set and am always finding new ways to improve myself and my performance every day. My dedication to learning can be seen through multiple parts of my career - for example, I spent most of 2020 taking additional classes in accounting and finance in order to gain new knowledge and skills that I had not previously learned in college. This led me to want to pursue an advanced degree in accounting, in which my strong work ethic and determination enabled me to graduate with a 4.0. Additionally, I have proven abilities in good communication, strong writing, following through on my tasks, and being positive with everyone around me, whether that be clients or colleagues.Others can easily describe me as someone who is dependable, passionate about my work, self-motivated, reliable, and a team player - and be able to give countless examples for each. For me, going above and beyond is the norm - I strive every single day to do my job well in order to make other people\'s jobs easier.
