ABOUT TRISHA SUAYAN
Becoming a structural engineer has been my path since high school. Harmful structural failures led me to pursue this career. Growing up on the Pacific Ring of Fire, I witnessed typhoons and earthquakes ravage the weak foundations of the structures built in my hometown which endangered the lives of many. This inspired me to become a structural engineer hoping to build safer structures for my community. As a beginning step, I became one of the Drafting Leads of UBC Steel Bridge and applied for the co-op program.
