ABOUT PATRICIA NUNN BROWN
Patricia Nunn Brown was named Director of the Small and Minority Business Division in July 2007, and is responsible for policy and oversight of the State’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Program. Ms. Brown coordinates MBE Program accountability activities with over 150 State agencies, colleges and universities, while working with Arkansas’ business community to expand opportunities for minority–owned firms. She oversees the statewide certification of minority business enterprises, and the minority loan mobilization program.Significant achievements during her tenure include creating and implementing process improvements that reduced the turnaround time for processing MBE certification, development of the Minority View Portal where agencies can report their spending with minority vendors, and streamlining the MBE certification application. In addition, Ms. Brown provided the oversight to implement the minority loan mobilization program.
