About Patricia Mulroy

Dr. Patricia Mulroy currently serves as the Director of the World of Learning at Appalachia IU08. She works to create opportunities for students to expand the availability of high-quality instruction in a Live Online platform. Her experience as both an Elementary and High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Superintendent help her provide the right solution for schools and districts. Dr. Mulroy received her B.S. in Physical Education, an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from East Stroudsburg University, and her doctorate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her career in public education, her passion in the area of Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Policy, Athletics, and Community Collaboration. She actively participates in supporting creative community programming and involving community partners in engaging students in the real world and school. She is a graduate of the Education Policy Leadership Center (EPLC). Dr. Mulroy’s dissertation, School-Related Factors and Experiences that Influence High School Graduation Rate, explores the importance of meaningful school experiences, high expectations, and positive relationships with caring adults as critical to student success in school completion. Her hope is to create school models and programs in blended, brick-and-mortar, and online environments that promote student engagement, efficacy, and engaged citizens. Her most recent contribution to a publication includes \"Let The Beauty We Love Be What We Do: Stories Of Living Divided No More\"- edited by Sally Z. Hare and Megan LeBoutillier. Dr. Mulroy is an active volunteer in her community serving. She co-chairs the DEIB Committee and participates in the Conference Committee for Pennsylvania ASCD.
