   Collaborate with various levels of leadership of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) to provide HR expertise and guidance for a world-renowned Academic Medical Center. Provide strategic partnership, guidance and support in HR areas including employee relations, compensation, mentoring leaders on HR topics, as well as working with leaders on employee engagement and other organizational initiatives. • Support employee group approx. 1,300+ as main point of contact for HR related needs. This group is comprised of grant funded, research positions and medical center administration positions of varying levels • Develop and maintain strong, positive working relations with customer groups • Partner with leadership to ensure consistent application of VUMC policies and state and federal regulations • Handle employee relations concerns including advising on performance and discipline • Provide guidance and strong partnership with annual engagement survey efforts with assigned customer groups successfully achieving positive results across assigned customer groups. • Partner with Compensation department and Leadership to process market reviews and compensation analysis. Provide salary recommendations for current employee’s promotion opportunities as well as for high level new hire positions and transfers • Provide ad hoc training to leaders and staff • Guide leaders as they transition their workforce from in person to work from home during pandemic and as they transition their workforce back to the workplace • Supported leaders and staff while the Medical Center and University split into two separate legal entities • Provide guidance to peer HR Business Partners on same team
