ABOUT PATRICE VERN

With an experience of over 30 years in the rail industry, including more than 16 years abroad, Patrice Vern has worked as a Systems Engineer at a wide range of international railway and urban landmark projects. In particularly complex and multicultural contexts — construction of new high-speed lines and metro lines or brownfield projects — he has actively demonstrated knowledge of railway technical expertise (Signalling, Communication & Control, Energy and Earthing) with solid experience of the Systems Engineering throughout the project lifecycle. Patrice Vern has a proven track record of conducting bidding process in compliance with the International Funds Regulation and Contract Management (Lump Sum /Time Based Contracts/ FIDIC Rules). In close collaboration with the headquarter technical poles, Patrice Vern has a recognized ability to develop client relationships. He offers validations and recommendations regarding cost, contract, work progress and technical matters throughout key deliverables. Comfortable in coordinating multi-disciplinary local and foreign engineering teams, Patrice Vern easily adapts with local work practices and standards. During the verification process of hardware and functional compliance, he collaboratively works with the clients across rail design and integration for Manufacturing and Installation lifecycles. Patrice Vern conducts the reviewing of documents in accordance with international standards and he supervises site installation in compliance with the requirements. Patrice Vern has a demonstrated ability to pilot the interfaces between Railway Systems and the multidisciplinary activities. Patrice Vern has an extensive experience in supervising Performance and Integration Tests. He monitors the enforcement of Safety Accreditation (Safety Case). Patrice Vern proactively supervises the Defect Liability Period (DLP).
