I’m proud to serve at the Center for Civic Education one of the nation’s leading civic and constitutional education organizations. For more than six decades, the Center has equipped millions of students, educators, and citizens—both in the U.S. and around the world—with the knowledge and skills to participate meaningfully in democracy.As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, I’m helping lead the Center into its next era of growth—expanding our visibility, strengthening our voice in the civic education ecosystem, and deepening our impact nationwide.In my role, I serve as both a strategic advisor to the President & CEO and the lead architect of the Center’s marketing and communications strategy. Each day, I work to build alignment across teams, identify opportunities to strengthen our messaging, and design systems that make our communications more effective and cohesive.I lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that amplifies the Center’s mission, elevates our public presence, and advances our goals across programs, partnerships, and fundraising. This includes overseeing media relations, public relations, and brand strategy—ensuring our programs and initiatives are consistently represented in a clear, engaging, and unified way.A big part of my work involves storytelling and relationship-building—connecting with national media outlets, education influencers, policymakers, and civic leaders to bring the Center’s work to new audiences. I’m passionate about translating the importance of civic education into stories that inspire engagement, participation, and impact.Ultimately, my goal is to help the Center not just teach civic education—but lead the national conversation on why it matters for the future of our democracy.
