About Balint Pato
I\'m developing Quantum Error Correction Software to scale up IBM\'s quantum devices. After 15+ years of software engineering experience in the finance and tech industries, I decided to veer into the field of quantum computing. After 1-2 years as a 20% contributor, I became the Tech Lead for a year for the open source tools at Google\'s Quantum AI team. I left to focus 100% on becoming a researcher in quantum error correction at Duke University. My research focused on the three areas of fault-tolerant quantum error-correcting protocols, the effects of coherent noise, and application-specific quantum error-correcting codes. After graduation I joined the IBM Quantum team.
