Software Engineering leader with over 20+ YOE in the financial services industry. Drove multiple cloud migrations, digital transformations, and built integrations and microservices across distributed platforms for feature development and data migration. Adept at developing and mentoring high-performing teams.My initial journey in software engineering leadership began at Infosys, where I worked as a Technology Lead for Bank of America. In this role, I was responsible for improving the architecture and developing technologies for online banking. I also played a key role in translating the online banking screens from English to Spanish, saving the company millions of dollars with an innovative tool.In 2014, I joined Ally Bank as an Application/Engineering Manager, where I assumed the responsibility of migrating a retail customer portfolio of over 5 million customers from a mainframe platform to a web platform. In this role, I led the design and development of several custom applications, including an API Gateway, domain-based Microservices, and a Content Services system. Additionally, I established Transaction tracing for proactive monitoring and developed Command Center applications for managing health checks and traffic health monitors.In 2020, my performance in migrating the retail customer portfolio led to my promotion to Director of Software Engineering, responsible for managing the migration and modernization of the commercial portfolio. In this role, I have successfully driven cloud migrations, digital transformations, and built integrations across distributed platforms to support feature development. Additionally, I have modernized the Commercial management platform\'s technology stack, enabling the onboarding of commercial customers and the subsequent extension of these capabilities to retail customers.I have also grown teams from scratch, improving performance and coaching individuals while adhering to agile workflows. I am passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems. I am also committed to building a more inclusive and diverse tech industry. I am currently working on several initiatives to hire and train early talents and to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for all employees.
