I manage multiple projects within the Center for Health Care Human Factors to improve patient safety practices within Johns Hopkins Medicine. The Center applies Human Factors Engineering (HFE) to healthcare to (re)design processes, systems and devices to support the work of caregivers at Johns Hopkins to create efficient and safe care process, mitigate risk of patient safety, and improve patient outcomes.Role:• Oversight of all current research activities and projects in Center for Health Care Human Factors.• Manage the administrative and scientific implementation of a transdisciplinary and applied research studies aimed at improving infection prevention and control in health care settings.• Manage the hiring and onboarding process of new Research Assistants and other staff. • Mentor, supervise and evaluate undergraduate and graduate Research Assistants.• Manage collaborative work between core HF team and interdisciplinary study team members to ensure that study deliverables and report schedules are met as required by the granting agencies; track completion of assigned tasks; and any other duties as needed.• Manage and execute various activities to complete grants and external consulting projects.

Human factors Project Manager at the Center for Health Care Human Factors at the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality. My background combines biomedical engineering innovation and design with human factors engineering aimed at improving patient safety in various healthcare settings.
