As a volunteer with People to Places, I contribute to both their community transport services and newly launched charity shop, helping enhance their fundraising capabilities and public engagement. My responsibilities span both operational and customer facing support including- assisting with setup of systems and day-to-day running of the new charity shop including sorting, pricing and merchandising donated items-providing friendly customer service and supporting sales to help generate vital funds for accessible transport and mobility services- Supporting passengers with accessible transport to appointments and social events, helping reduce isolation and promote independence- Collaborating with staff and other volunteers to promote the charity\'s visibility in the local community.This blended role has given me hands on experience in both community service and retail operations, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to a growing local charity with a strong social impact.
