As an IT / Application architect, I led and mentored the Geographic Information System, Location Based and Emergency Services agile team with in Connected Consumer and Mobility Solutions ( CCMS ) business unit to architect, scope, design, build and deliver state of the art the next generation cloud native secure application services which runs in the in-house hosted cloud.• Led the development effort to convert legacy application services to cloud based services using cutting edge technologies to support de-coupled architecture which helps GM’s long term vision to lead automotive market.• Kick started development and standardization efforts to use swagger to publish APIs and codegen plugins to generate interfaces which helped entire CCMS organization to standardize the cloud based application services development.• Provided inputs to infrastructure team, CI/CD team and application teams across CCMS to help build environment agnostic application services which helped the GM takes the benefit of cloud and support much easier operational play during data centers upgrade / failure.• Led the effort of establishing new infrastructures and solving complex infrastructure, security, network, firewall, NAS, systems related issues by collaborating various teams in a timely manner to keep applications deployed and running to keep GM\'s customer happy and recurring revenue for GM.• Led the effort to manage complex COTS product upgrades and keep them running to help keep GM’s licensing and support cost lower.• Led the effort to simplify and improve various processes which manages, processes and publishes the third party data like POIs, Map Tiles, Geo Locators to help mitigate manual process failures by auto scheduling, adding automatic validation steps and simplifying the transport mechanism.
