Dr. Zimmerman j extensively collaborated with Dr. Paul Crutzen co-winner of the Nobel Prize for his work in atmospheric chemistry. Zimmerman\'s research focused on measurements of biogenic hydrocarbon emissions, including laboratory and field measurements of methane fluxes from termites and ruminants; Dr. Zimmerman’s research teams have shown that these biogenic emissions are important to regional and global atmospheric chemistry.
