ABOUT VICTOR LEE
I have been married for 36 years to an amazing lady, Judy, who I met in Jackson, Mississippi in my first job out of college. Judy and I are foster/adopt advocates, and have had 31 children through our home, including one bio daughter, and five adopted, all adults now. We have nine grandchildren. I am a Biblical Counselor and journalist, spending 12 years as a full-time sports journalist, the latter nine at the Palm Beach Post covering Major League Baseball, the NFL and as an investigative reporter. For various journalism or ministry entities, I have been at three Olympics. I was called into ministry in my early 30s and went to seminary (Southeastern Baptist Theological, near Raleigh,NC) at age 36, earning an M.Div/languages. I continued as a freelance journalist, and have several hundred magazine or online articles. I also post teaching daily on Facebook (Victor Lee). I returned to my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee in 2001 and joined the staff of First Baptist Concord, having several roles over 17 years. The last few years serving as Counseling Pastor. A transitioned to private practice biblical counseling a year and a half ago. The battle is for the mind, and mental health is on decline. As a Biblical Counselor with more than hours of experience, I take the Word of God and apply it the the challenges my clients face, teaching them that the reshaping of the mind is necessary and effective to overcome. I agree with Freedom in Christ founder, and renowned author, Neil T. Anderson, who said that the best way to care for our mental health is to first care for our spiritual health. The God of mercy, Who is in the constant pattern of rescue, is Comforter and Counselor through the Holy Spirit, who reminds us of the truths and comfort of the Word of God as He leads us from crisis to victory, to sharing with others how He led us to overcome.
