About Chris Taylor

With a profound love for his community, Chris’ journey began in Pontiac, MI, where his passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ grew into a fervor for uplifting God’s people and spreading his good news. It has been through serving his local community Chris has been able to develop his skills in project management, leading teams, developing leaders and fundraising. This reached another pinnacle in 2019 when he became the Senior Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, in Flint, Michigan. Beyond the pulpit, Chris’ commitment to community is reflected through his work with Michigan Grounds Crew. Focusing on blight elimination and property preservation, in Flint and surrounding areas. Chris’ belief is that the revitalization of the physical environment can serve as a catalyst for positive change. This approach not only seeks to improve the aesthetics of the area but also aims to address underlying issues; reshaping the community’s mindset by incorporating workforce/ work life skills and strategies to eliminate barriers toward gainful education and and employment opportunities. Through this holistic strategy, Chris envisions a transformation that goes beyond physical improvements fostering a renewed sense of pride and unity along with the forward progression of the community.
