ABOUT AMIR SINGH PASRICH

Amir Singh Pasrich is a commercial lawyer with a wide range of experience in contentious and non-contentious work. He has practiced law since 1992 handling India related, international and cross-border matters. He co-founded the law firm \'International Law Affiliates\'(I.L.A.) in 1998. Today he also acts as counsel to I.L.A. for Commercial Disputes and Arbitration. Amir has a law degree from Oxford University and is presently President of the Oxford & Cambridge Society of India. He also has a B.Sc. from St Stephens\' College, Delhi University. He completed his schooling from The Doon School. Amir joined the International Bar Association (IBA) in 1997 and co-chaired the IBA\'s International Commerce & Distribution Committee. He has been a member of the Council of the IBA\'s Legal Practice Division from 2016 to 2022 also the IBA\'s Bar Issues Commission Policy Committee. He is Treasurer of the International Bar Association (IBA), and Secretary of the IBA Legal Practice Division (“LPD”) 2025-26. He is a member of the IBA Management Board and of the IBA Council. Pasrich has been recognised individually by Legal 500, Chambers Asia and Who\'s Who Legal (now Lexology Index) in multiple disciplines. As a counsel and advocate he has several reported judgments to his credit and has spoken at several dozen international conferences of the IBA, IPBA, UIA etc. He has been Chairman of the Law & Justice Committee of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry or PHDCCI. Pasrich has been Honorary Legal Advisor to the British High Commissioner from 2018 to 2024. His client list has included the Canadian High Commission and the Government of Canada (from 1995), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(the Hinduja Group), TUI AG, Accenture India, Ambuja Cements Ltd, Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH & Co. KG, over a dozen international airlines such as British Airways PLC, Swiss International, Delta Air Lines Inc, Air France & KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, etc, H.E. the Ambassador of France, the Delegation of the European Union and various eminent companies. Pasrich appears regularly in the Supreme Court of India and in the High Court of Delhi. His cross-border practice has ranged from advice to government entities and airlines to multi-national disputes. In 2017 he led the firm (now known as I.L.A. Pasrich & Company) to join the non-exclusive NextLaw network. He has been a passionate advocate for reform to speed up the Indian legal system and is pursuing an \'India Project\' for which he as written articles on the pendency pandemic and consequences of delayed justice delivery.
