ABOUT PASCAL HÄFELI
I am a Senior Technical Consultant within Hitachi’s Power Consulting team, based in Germany. My role combines deep technical expertise in renewable energy and power systems with active involvement in sales and business development—particularly with Renewables, storage and grid stabilization solutions.My core activities are in the area of integration of inverter-based resources to the grid, as wind and PV power plants, and technology that enables its integration by improving power quality and stability, such as BESS, STATCOM or HVDC systems. I support renewable energy developers worldwide with grid connection studies, grid impact studies and compliance processes, and I work with transmission and distribution system operators (TSOs/DSOs) to assess and mitigate the impact of high IBR penetration—ensuring grid stability and reliability.Earlier in my career, I worked for a distribution system operator in Spain and a wind turbine manufacturer in Germany. This experience gives me a valuable end-to-end perspective—allowing me to support power plant developers with technical studies as well as facilitate communication and compliance with manufacturers and grid operators.I’m always happy to connect with others to exchange ideas and experiences in pursuit of a smarter, cleaner, and more efficient energy future.
