Hi, my name is Parth. As a recent computer science graduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I am passionate about solving challenging problems at the intersection of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and data science. My academic journey, coupled with diverse professional experiences, has equipped me with a strong foundation in core CS concepts, advanced programming skills, and cutting-edge technologies.Currently, I am working as a Software Engineer at Argonne National Laboratory on the Diaspora Project, where I architect resilient, scalable federated learning workflows for multi-messenger astronomy. My work involves processing billions of data points annually to optimize the detection of faint gravitational waves while preserving data privacy and security.Previously, as a Machine Learning Engineer in the Data Science and Learning Division at Argonne, I developed APACE, a novel computational framework that optimizes AlphaFold2 for high-performance computing platforms. This project, which won the 2023 HPCwire Readers\' Choice Award for \"Best Use of HPC in Life Sciences,\" significantly reduced inference time for protein structure prediction from 12.5 days to just 68 minutes.I also contribute as a Research Software Engineer at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where I conduct numerical simulations of binary black hole mergers and develop AI models for gravitational wave denoising.My industry experience includes roles at Ericsson R&D, where I worked on DevOps and security, and at SPi Global, where I developed AI-driven pipelines for document image restoration and data extraction.My core competencies include distributed computing, machine learning, data analysis and software engineering. I have also earned multiple certifications and honors in these domains, such as Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Introduction to TensorFlow for AI, and ranking in the top 2% for NPTEL courses.My future goal is to contribute to an organization that is highly focused on solving problems for social good using cutting-edge tools and technology. I am actively seeking 2024 SDE/ML/Data Science full-time opportunities where I can leverage my skills and experience to make a positive impact.
